FIRST LOOK AT BRAIDWOOD CENTRAL SCHOOL’S MAJOR UPGRADE

The Braidwood Community will be given its first look at its upgraded Braidwood Central School today, with new artist impressions being released by the New South Wales Government.
Member for Monaro John Barilaro said he is excited to see the illustrations with the upgrade set to greatly benefit the Braidwood community.
“This will deliver the high-quality school resources our students and teachers deserve,” Mr Barilaro said.
Once complete in late 2020, the project will provide eight new permanent flexible learning spaces and improved administration facilities.
“We want our children to have the best education possible and providing high-quality school facilities is a key part of that,” Mr Barilaro said.
Mr Barilaro said the NSW Government was prioritising regional public schools and was committed to major upgrades across the Monaro.
“I’m delighted the NSW Liberal National Government is delivering on this important project.”
The NSW Government is investing $6.7 billion over the next four years to deliver more than 190 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW.
In addition, a record $1.3 billion is being spent on school maintenance over five years, along with a record $500 million for the sustainable Cooler Classrooms program to provide air conditioning to schools.
This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
