COOMA HOSPITAL AUXILLARY GIVEN A HELPING HAND

Member for Monaro John Barilaro has recognised the tireless efforts of the Cooma Hospital Auxiliary.
Mr Barilaro presented Cooma Hospital Auxiliary President Sue Litchfield and members with a once-off donation of up to $2,000 for the purchase of a new laptop.
“The members of the Cooma Hospital Auxiliary go above and beyond every day to ensure the staff at Cooma Hospital are able to provide the best care they can.
“When the Auxiliary told me that they’d been relying on their own resources to keep on top of their work, I knew something had to be done. I am so pleased to contribute in this small way,” Mr Barilaro said.
Ms Litchfield welcomed the donation on behalf of the Auxiliary and said a new laptop will really help the secretary and volunteers continue to contribute to the community.
“I am absolutely delighted and so grateful to Mr Barilaro that he was able to deliver this cheque.
“A new laptop will not only make it easier and faster for the Auxiliary’s members to communicate, but it will help us continue to improve the care patients receive at Cooma Hospital,” Ms Litchfield said.
The Cooma Hospital Auxiliary has fourteen active members who meet each month in the Education Centre at Cooma Hospital.
The group raises funds through raffles, a Christmas Street stall, the Rotary markets and support from various community organisations.
