BUNGENDORE AMBULANCE STATION PETITION HANDED OVER TO JOHN BARILARO
Friday, 9 March 2018
Member for Monaro John Barilaro today met with member of the Bungendore community and proud advocate for an ambulance station for Bungendore, Deborah Olde, to officially receive the petition for the ambulance station.
“Each of us skips a beat when we hear ambulance sirens, especially when they are close to home,” Mr Barilaro said.
“For the increasing population of Bungendore, the fear is a little bit worse knowing that the closest ambulance station is a fair distance away.
“Bungendore is a rapidly growing town and with growth comes the need for important services.
“We know how busy the Kings Highway gets during peak hours, and now is the time for the NSW Liberal and Nationals Government to get to work on delivering an ambulance station for Bungendore.
“It is my pleasure to officially receive the petition that has been circulating Bungendore and surrounds as I put my head down to deliver this for our community.
“I have met with the NSW Minister for Health Brad Hazzard to put forward our case, and I believe the support I’ve received from the community through the petition has impressed on how important this issue is.
“Thank you to each and every person who has signed the petition so far, and to those who haven’t, please do not hesitate to contact my office at any stage to voice your opinion or support for the delivery of an ambulance station for Bungendore.
