Nobody wants to spend much time in hospital, but when you do, you want to know you're in the best facility, served by the best people. Yesterday's budget ensures that this is the case and Bronnie Taylor MLC and I are absolutely thrilled with funding for local projects.
Support for much needed upgrades to Cooma Hospital has almost doubled, with the announcement of a further $8.6 million to total $18.6 million for the project.
The redevelopment will include a new main entry, upgrades to radiology services, refurbished patient waiting areas and a brand new, state of the art maternity ward.
